Simon Open Space Preserve has been written up in Jerry Schad's Afoot and Afield in San Diego County. When I explored it on foot on November 13, 2008, it was signed as Simon County Park. However, it is still listed on the County Parks Web site as "Simon Preserve".
The USGS topo doesn't show most of the streets in San Diego Country Estates, so I also plotted the path on the Thomas Guide.
