survey of open space next to Curlew St

I'm on Curlew St at the north end of that Open Space Preserve on the E side

I enter the Preserve, trying to stay near the periphery

there is a deep, brush-filled ravine to my L which is probably part of the
preserve

the ravine splits and it is so deep and so steep that I cannot cross it

the preserve appears to continue on the other side of the ravine

[I walk around a thicket to get to the next place]

I'm now outside the preserve, and I continue on the street

I follow a well-beaten and apparently graded path

the larger trail
